In case you needed another reason to visit Somerset House’s new Isabella Blow exhibition this weekend, SHOWstudio’s beautiful film showcasing the style maverick’s incredible wardrobe might do the trick.
To the sounds of Roxy Music’s When She Walks in the Room (Blow’s favorite song), models including Liberty Ross and Xiao Wen Ju waft around the grand grounds of Doddington Hall – where the fashion editor grew up – wearing pieces from her personal collection. Directed by filmmaker Ruth Hogben, the film adds a new dimension to the clothes made so famous by its original wearer. Haunting, beautiful and compelling, the short is also available to watch as part of the exhibition – open now until March 2.
